# Greycoat Heating — frequently asked

## Frequently asked

### Is there really somebody there at three in the morning?

Yes, and it is a controller in Sheffield rather than a message-taking service in another time zone. The night rate is the same as the day rate — the firm has never charged more for the hours when the heating actually fails.

### How quickly does a van get to me?

Four hours for no heat or no hot water, two for anything actively leaking, measured from the call rather than from when a job gets assigned. If the board is genuinely full you will be told a realistic hour, not a comfortable one.

### Will the price change once the engineer is here?

Only if you agree to more work. The first hour and the hourly rate after it are fixed, parts are listed on the invoice at trade plus fifteen per cent, and nothing beyond the original fault gets touched without a conversation first.

### Do you cover a boiler you did not install?

Almost always. Greycoat Cover takes on any make under fifteen years old that passes an initial service, and there is no exclusion for a boiler somebody else fitted. Anything older gets looked at and quoted honestly rather than refused on principle.
